Artisanal, Small-Batch Coffee Roasters
SMALL-BATCH
Coffee roasting is an art, not an industrial operation. Our coffee is roasted in small batches, each one treated as unique and worthy of attention. The roast date is printed on each bag of Cypress Street coffee.
SINGLE-ORIGIN
We seek to respect the beauty of each individual green coffee as the natural, agricultural product that it is. We don’t blend our coffees, but by curating a variety of coffees from around the globe we seek to highlight the many unique flavor profiles available in the world’s many coffee-growing regions. Our coffees originate in such far flung locations as Indonesia, Kenya, and Costa Rica.
ARTISANAL
Our coffee is roasted with attention to detail on a non-automated roaster so that the skill and creativity of the artisan plays a central role in promoting the flavor of each bean. Our roaster is present, active, and creative at each step of the roasting process.

These lots represent the highest quality beans from the station--beans which have been selected from larger day lots brought to the station for processing from the many smallholders who farm this region. The coffee we are offering you here comes from the Kigezi Valley in the Kigezi Highlands of Uganda--an area of exceptional natural beauty, which has been described as the “Switzerland of Africa”.
